Braaksma, in collaboration with Brad Kaspari, designed, fabricated, and installed pieces throughout the complex including mosaic, cast bronze and cast concrete, inlaid tile "carpets," and art glass. Inspiration came from the flora and fauna specific to the site (as outlined in the IDNR biological surveys). Since the Prairie School heavily influenced the architecture of the complex, the artwork was filtered through the artists’ understanding of Arts and Crafts materials and aesthetic sensibilities.
